Plexr Plasma Is Very Safe

Plexr Plus is a safe and effective treatment that uses plasma technology to sublimate the surface of the skin without damaging the surrounding or deeper structures. This results in an immediate tightening and reorganization of collagen fibers, as well as the formation of new collagen and renewal of epidermal tissue. Trust Plexr Plus for a minimally invasive solution to your skin concerns

What is Plexr Plus Plasma?

Perfect for those seeking effective results with minimal discomfort and downtime.

Plexr Plus Plasma is a revolutionary non-surgical treatment that can help with a variety of skin issues such as eyelid, skin laxity, scars, moles, skin tags, and other superficial skin lesions. This treatment uses plasma technology and is performed using wireless handheld devices from Italy. It is fully licensed in Canada and has a shorter recovery time compared to surgical treatments. The treatment uses a small electrical arc to sublimate the superficial part of the skin, preserving the lower layers and reducing the potential for permanent skin damage.

The results from Plexr Plus Plasma are long-lasting, typically maintained for about five years before a touch-up treatment may be needed.

At MD Laser Clinic, success starts with clearly understanding the process. That's why our professional team is dedicated to guiding you every step of the way during your consultation. We'll ensure you understand and follow the guidelines for optimal outcomes. Contact us today to learn more!

  • How to Prepare for Your Treatment Day

    • Arrive with clean skin. Remove all makeup and thoroughly cleanse the treatment area before your appointment.

    • 24 hours before treatment:

      • Avoid alcohol.

      • Follow a low-sodium (low-salt) diet to help minimize swelling and support healing.

    • 1 week before treatment:

      • Begin taking a slow-release Vitamin C supplement (unless contraindicated) to support healing and help reduce swelling.

    • Protect your skin from the sun for 2–4 weeks before treatment.

      • Avoid sun tanning, tanning beds, and spray tans.

      • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen daily, especially if you have a medium to darker skin tone.

    • Skin preparation may be recommended.

      • Some patients may require a pre-treatment skincare regimen or a brightening serum (such as a cysteamine-based formula) to reduce the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation and optimize treatment results.

      • If needed, this will be discussed during your consultation and is available through MD Laser Clinic.

    • Some treatments require a pre-treatment skincare kit.

      • Your provider will advise you during your consultation if this is necessary before your procedure.

    • Avoid treatments on the same area before Plasma treatment, including:

      • Laser treatments

      • Chemical peels

      • Botox®

      • Dermal fillers

      • Any procedure that may interfere with healing or treatment outcomes

    • Discontinue Retin-A®, retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and other exfoliating acids 7 days before treatment and 21 days after treatment.

    • No Botox® or dermal fillers for 21 days before and 14 days after your Plasma treatment.

    • No microneedling or radiofrequency (RF) skin treatments for 60 days before or after your treatment.

    • No laser treatments or chemical peels (depending on peel depth) for 30 days before or after treatment.

    • If you have had a surgical facelift or facial surgery, wait a minimum of 9 months before undergoing Plasma treatment.

    • Do not wear contact lenses or artificial eyelashes if you are having a Plasma blepharoplasty (eyelid) treatment.

    • If you are taking Ozempic® or another GLP-1 medication, discontinue use 10 days before your treatment and wait 14 days after before restarting, unless otherwise directed by your prescribing healthcare provider.

  • Plexr Plus Plasma – Day of Treatment Instructions

    • Mild to moderate swelling is normal after treatment. If the eye area has been treated, expect moderate to significant swelling, especially during the first 24–72 hours.

    • You may experience a burning, stinging, or warm sensation immediately after treatment and for up to 24 hours. This is a normal part of the healing process as heat dissipates from the skin.

    • Continue taking your antihistamine for the next 2–3 days as directed. Taking Benadryl® in the evening (if appropriate for you) may help reduce swelling and support the healing process.

    • If your face has been treated, sleep on your back with your head elevated using an extra pillow to help minimize swelling.

    • During the first 12 hours after treatment, avoid exposing the treated area to contaminants. Although infection is uncommon because the treatment does not create open wounds, this initial healing period is important.

      • Avoid the gym.

      • Avoid touching the treated area.

      • Wash your hands before applying any aftercare products.

      • Avoid touching public surfaces and then touching your face.

    • Do not participate in high-intensity exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating for 4–5 days.

    • Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 10 days or until the micro-scabs have naturally fallen off. Applying or removing makeup too soon may prematurely remove the scabs and interfere with healing.

    • Thoroughly clean all makeup brushes, disinfect your phone, and wipe down eyeglass frames with an alcohol wipe before using them.

    • Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel the treatment area. Allow all micro-scabs to shed naturally.

    • Avoid heat exposure for 4–6 weeks, including:

      • Hot tubs

      • Saunas

      • Steam rooms

      • Hot yoga

      • Prolonged hot showers or baths

      • Excessive sun exposure

  • •  Day 1, 2 and Day 3 - NO Water or Steam to the treated area, Keep Dry and clean.

    •    Cleanse the other areas of your face, keeping the treated area dry.

The Healing Process – You will look your worst the next two days as healing times vary depending on the individual but generally you can expect the following:  Face 7-10 days (depending on the type of treatment).

    • Make sure to wear a large hat and/or sunglasses if will be exposed to the sun.

    • In some aggressive treatments, very slight oozing may occur.

    • Swelling of the face and/or eyes is common, and typically begins to reduce by the third day after treatment.

    • Sleeping with your head elevated can help decrease swelling.

    • Almost everyone experiences itching, which can range from mild to intense.

  • Post-Treatment Home Care Guidelines

    • Use all recommended post-treatment products as directed and finish the complete home care regimen to optimize healing and minimize the risk of pigmentation.

    • Avoid alcohol and smoking during the healing period. Smoking significantly delays healing and may more than double your recovery time.

    • Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 sunscreen whenever you go outdoors, even for brief (5-minute) sun exposure or on cloudy days.

    • Limit unnecessary exposure to indoor light sources (computer monitors, tablets, TVs, and bright overhead lighting), as newly healing skin may be more susceptible to pigmentation.

    • Day 5: If advised by your provider, apply a tinted mineral sunscreen or Skin Cover sparingly to the treated area once daily.

      • Use only a small amount.

      • Gently pat the product onto the skin—do not rub.

      • Avoid overapplying, as excess product can soften the protective scabs and delay healing.

  • Day 7–10 Onward

    • The carbon crusts (micro-scabs) will begin to naturally shed. Do not pick, peel, or scratch them. Allow them to fall away naturally during gentle cleansing.

    • As the scabs shed, the new skin underneath will appear pink or slightly red. This is a normal part of the healing process. Most redness gradually fades over several weeks; however, complete skin maturation may take 2–3 months.

    • When showering, avoid allowing shampoo, conditioner, or body wash to run over the treated area. Avoid prolonged exposure to steam, humidity, and hot baths for at least 3 weeks.

    • Avoid steam rooms, hot tubs, saunas, hot yoga, and prolonged heat exposure for a minimum of 4–6 weeks, as heat can increase inflammation and delay the healing process.

    • Continue applying the Recovery Balm and/or clinic-recommended serums morning and evening after cleansing. If the skin feels dry or tight, additional applications may be used throughout the day as needed.

    • Continue using all post-treatment products until they are completely finished. Your home care regimen is an essential part of the healing process and helps optimize your treatment results while minimizing the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
